Buddy’s Contest: WEEK 2 - Win A T-Shirt and Entrecard Credits

Well kids, up for grabs this week is another t-shirt and a total of 500 Entrecard credits.  All you have to do is comment on this post about how many miles or minutes you’ve walked (biked, ellipticalled, treadmilled) this past week and you’re in.  Winners will be randomly selected using the randomizer.

First place will receive a “Heart Healthy Hounds and Humans” t-shirt as well as 100 Entrecard credits, 2nd will get 200 ec’s, 3rd - 125 ec’s, and 4th - 75 ec’s.  Comments placed by Tuesday 11pm EST will qualify for the drawing.  Please, no spamments.

Me and the kids had another bad week.  Between work and the rainy weather we’ve been having in Buffalo, it seems we haven’t been getting many chances to walk.  I personally only put in 4-1/2 miles this week, and each of the kids only about a mile each.  Ugh!  Maybe this week we’ll fare better.

  1. I walked for 3 hours and biked for 2 hours last week. Thanks for the contest!

  2. Everyday on weekdays, I walk for:
    15 minutes to work x2 = 30 minutes
    15 minutes from office to city for lunch *2 = 30 minutes

    A total of around 50-60 minutes a day ^^

  5. Hey, what a cool site, it’s quite an incitation to workout and compete with others.
    Last week I biked:

    - to work 2x 20min
    - visiting friends 3x 20 min
    - 1 hour “just for fun tour”

    and walked:

    - shopping 2x 30 min

    That’s not too bad I suppose?!

  6. i walked everytime, because i don’t have motorcycle or car. but on sunday i always biked 2-3 hours at morning.

    yes, Buddy’s contest is open to international walkers. Any form of cardiovascular exercise counts here, though the purpose of the contest is to get people away from their daily routine to get some real exercise.

    Just enter your time or distance that you walked (biked, ellipticalled, treadmilled, etc.) this past week and your in the contest.

  8. I walked to work 25min reach and coming home also walking 25 min too.

    half an hour break time.. just walk around and also buy some food back office eat. There’s a choice too depend whether I want to go home eat or not. Will take take me 25 min too as traffic… crossed the road.

  9. Well, don’t feel bad I had a bad week here too.
    I walked…
    miles = 4
    minutes = 1 hour, 45 minutes

    I can only keep track of mileage when I use the high school track, and school is almost in session and the teams are taking over the track.

    I also playeed 30 minutes on the playground and fought with a fish for 15 minutes this week.

  10. I could walked for 2 hours shopping around in mall
    Gosh, if I am on mall, no one couldn’t stop me walk, walk, window shopping out there. It’s widely fifth floor mall actually.
    It’s fun for me, in fact, I feel fresh after walked for hours :)

  11. the contest is closed for this week. We had 6 qualifying comments this week (1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 9).

    the randomizer came up with the following sequence: 6, 2, 5, 8, 4, 1, 9, 3, 7

    thanks for everybody’s participation, and be sure to enter again next week. I will be making an official post and will be awarding the prizes hopefully by tomorrow night, if not, by Thursday - since I have a really busy day tomorrow.
